The word comes from the Latin “quantus,” for “how much.”
The word comes from the Latin “solacium” for “consolation.”
Apparently.
How much did you say that was ?
So how much consolation did I have after paying about £7 each to watch the film, plus the extras for the popcorn and tubs of sweeties to munch on through the film ?
You need a second mortgage to see the flicks with your family nowadays.
A bit like a Tarantino film more than the usual James Bond offering but still good none the less.
I’m sure the DVD from Santa would be better value. The choice of seats would be far more comfortable as well and there would be no queue for the bogs.

I know what you mean, it’s terrible.
I haven’t been to the pictures for years and quite frankly, I have no intentions of going again.
Also, don’t you find that the sound is deafening?
Casino Royale was good but this one lacked all the humour and fun of previous films….
It’s sad though, some films are so much better watched on a huge screen and with an appreciative audience.
People say to me, “take your girls to see this , it’s brilliant.” So is the cost, 3 kids, 2 adults, Popcorn etc….I want to watch the film, not buy the cinema!
2001 is utterly wasted on a small screen. Unfortunately, all the cinemas that could show it full size (Cinerama) have been demolished, I think.

Hey Metcounty – when we worked Marble Arch together you used to say that if any Twat of the general public complained about you that you’d call him a Twat to his face.
WTF happened after that last time?
BTW: How’s Steve? Does he still make you those beautiful chicken dinners when you get home at nights?
You think that’s bad? I paid bloody £15 to see it in Central London…
